Pool supplies FAQs
What are the advantages of a solar pool heater?
Choosing solar pool heaters takes time and careful research to investigate
all the variables. But getting one is a great option if your budget
and size requirements are all met. After two or three years, the power
needed to heat your pool will be completely free for the life of the
equipment (usually about 20 years). Plus it’s a global, ecologically
responsible thing to do.
How do pool filters work?
Pool filters work in concert with pool pumps to effectively keep pool
water clean and circulating at all times. Filters are made to be specifically
compatible with certain pools and pumps and all those variables must
be considered before buying one.
Pool filters work using one of three main substances:
• Cartridge
• Sand
• Diatomaceous Earth (D.E.)
Each has a specialty method, but all filters function to remove grease,
dirt, and oil from your pool's water.
What’s the big deal about solar pool covers?
Solar pool covers raise the temperature of the pool’s water by
about 15 degrees or so. The covers are usually clear, blue or silver.
Each surface offers specialized solar optimization. If you have a pool
you should definitely have some kind of cover to keep debris out and
keep the water heat in. But a solar pool cover is even more effective
because it is able to take the sunlight and redistribute it into the
pool water.
